Hawkins County Rescue Squad announces work operations to be billed to insurance companies

Specific rescue transports and operations staffed by Hawkins County Rescue Squad personnel will be billed to insurance companies beginning January 1.

The agency announced that their board of directors signed a contract last month with a company that collects insurance reimbursements and will use that funding to help with operations and other squad expenses.

The group also reported that Hawkins County residents will not be required to pay any amounts not covered by their insurance company and those without insurance will not receive a bill.
