JC Commission selects Wise to assume role of Mayor, Fowler assuming vice mayor position

Johnson City has a new mayor and vice mayor following a unanimous vote at its Thursday night commission meeting.

Vice Mayor and Commissioner Joe Wise is assuming the role of mayor, taking the place of outgoing mayor Jenny Brock, who’s mayoral term is expiring but she will continue to serve on the city’s commission through 2022.

Additionally, the commission approved the nomination of commissioner Todd Fowler to act as Johnson City’s vice mayor.
