Dean selected for Emory & Henry’s new school of nursing

Emory and Henry College has selected a dean for its new School of Nursing.

The school announced its selection of Dr. Laurie Ferguson for the program’s launch in the Spring 2021 semester with the goal of helping the need for professional nurses in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Ferguson spent 36 years as a nurse practitioner and most recently served as the nursing school director at Loyola University in New Orleans.

Students interested in the program will take pre-requisite classes next fall. Emory and Henry plan to establish nursing programs on the undergraduate and graduate levels.
