David Crockett standout and Notre Dame commit Prince Kollie wins Butkus Award as nation’s top linebacker

A Northeast TN high school football standout has received a top honor as the nation’s best high school linebacker.
Prince Kollie of David Crockett High School is this year’s Butkus Award recipient, and was presented the award virtually by legendary linebacker Dick Butkus and his son. Kollie has had a phenomenal career while suited up for the Pioneers, playing several positions on both sides of the ball throughout high school.
This season, his stat line included 109 tackles, two sacks, and an interception on defense, while rushing for over 1,500 yards and scoring 26 times on offense. Kollie is committed to Notre Dame.
