Hawkins County receives $950,000 loan from TDEC to improve water infrastructure
Hawkins County is set to receive nearly $1 million in loans from the state of Tennessee for water infrastructure improvements.
The state’s Dept. of Environment and Conservation said a $950,000 loan will head to the first utility district in Hawkins.
The loan has a 20 year term and comes from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan Program with plans to address improvements to the water distribution system.
