Griffith Can’t Support Increased Spending On COVID Relief Without Legitimate Cuts
Southwest Virginia Republican Congressman Morgan Griffith says Democrats in the House have put forward a bill that increases the size of individual COVID relief checks, but does not contain any cuts to bloated spending that President Trump has asked for. The President signed the two point three million dollar Omnibus spending document on Sunday and called on Congress to make the necessary cuts. Griffith says the Democratic compromise was a typical Democratic response, increased spending, but not cuts as requested. Griffith concluded by saying he could not support the increased spending without legitimate cuts as proposed by President Trump.
