Just Over 53 Thousand Virginian’s Receive Vaccine So Far
Only about 20 percent of the total number of doses of COVID-19 vaccines Virginia began receiving have been administered according to the State Department of Health. Just over 53 thousand people in the Commonwealth have received the vaccine so far. The director of the department’s Division of Immunization, says the state has received about 285 thousand 700 vaccine doses so far. The vaccines have come from Pfizer and Moderna and its believed logistical challenges and the holidays have slowed the process. Current plans call for the general public in Virginia to receive the vaccination in late spring or early summer.
