New Tennessee Law Requires 911 Operators To Be Prepared For CPR Iinstructions

According to statistics, each year an estimated 350 thousand sudden cardiac arrest events occur in an out of hospital environment, and almost all require a call to 911 for help. Beginning Friday, Tennessee legislation will become law to ensure 911 operators across the state are prepared to provide Cadiopulmonary Resuscitation instructions to a caller in an emergency situation. Previously, not all counties allowed 911 operators to run callers through CPR instructions.
