UPDATE: ID of victim in Bristol, Tennessee shooting released while suspect arraigned on fugitive charge
A Sullivan County, Tennessee man charged in a fatal weekend shooting was arraigned Tuesday in General District Court in Abingdon.
Michael Daniel Endres, 31, was captured in Washington County, Virginia hours after warrants were issued for his arrest following a shooting Sunday night in the 400 block of Sweet Hollow Road in Bristol, Tennessee.
Sheriff Jeff Cassidy announced that Linzie Humes, 59, was killed in that incident that sent his brother, George Humes, 60, to the hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released.
Endres is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and reckless endangerment. He is being held without bond in Abingdon and has another court date set for Jan. 27. Cassidy noted that Endres can waive extradition prior to that hearing.
