ETSU to host virtual webinar Wednesday evening to discuss last week’s insurrection at the US Capitol
ETSU Votes has scheduled a virtual panel for this evening to discuss the events surrounding last week’s insurrection at the US Capitol.
The panel titled “Chaos at the Capitol: American Democracy at a Crossroads,” will feature commentary from school faculty that includes history professor Dr. Daryl Carter, Political Science associate professor Dr. Fredrick Gordon, and assistant Media and Communications professor Dr. Mimi Perrault.
The three will be on hand to discuss the historical precedent of the events of Jan. 6, the media’s role in covering the event, and the future of the country’s democracy. The webinar is scheduled from 5:30-6:30 this evening, and to register for the webinar, visit ETSU’s website.
