Mount Rogers Health District partnering with Wythe County Hospital in helping administering COVID-19 vaccines
The Mount Rogers Health District in Southwest Virginia has a new hospital partner in assisting in the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to regional older residents.
That partner is the Wythe County Community Hospital, which will give local health officials yet another vaccine site to administer doses as part of efforts to end the pandemic that has killed nearly 5,500 Virginians to this point. The health district is currently in Phase 1b of the state’s vaccine distribution program, which includes eligibility for residents ages 75 and older.
An appointment is required to get vaccinated, and contact information on how to get an appointment across the district’s different cities and counties can be found below:
·Bland County

Vaccines will be administered on-site at the main hospital at 200 Hospital Drive, Galax at the Outpatient Ground Level Entrance (to the right of the building) – at the north end. Signage will direct cars to the proper area. These will not be scheduled appointments, but instead will be walk-in.
