Niswonger Children’s Hospital receiving funding for expansion of car seat safety programs
Expanded classes and programs around the topic of car seat safety is soon to be offered thanks to a grant secured by Niswonger Children’s Hospital from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
The facility’s Children’s Resource Center will give community members and Niswonger patients the chance to increase their knowledge about the importance of keeping their children safe when driving, with programs ranging from monthly car seat checkpoints and Child Passenger Safety Technician training.
The programs are available to Tennessee families in the Niswonger service area, with additional opportunities available for Southwest VA families.
