Ashe County, North Carolina schools mourn loss of special education teacher from COVID
Faculty and students in neighboring Ashe County, North Carolina, are mourning the loss of a teacher who has died from COVID-19 complications.
Ashe County Superintendent of Schools Eisa Cox asked for privacy and prayers for the family of special education instructor Crystal Bennett who had taught at Ashe County High School in Jefferson for two years.
Cox noted that counselors were being provided on campus and virtually to help staff and students.
