Bristol Man Sentenced For Possession Of Machinegun
A Bristol Virginia man is headed to prison for two and a half years for possession of an unregistered machinegun and a silencer. 48 year old Michael Houser pleaded guilty in October of 2020 and was sentenced in Abingdon’s U.S. District Court. Houser was arrested at his home in Bristol on state charges. Following his arrest, Houser called a friend to retrieve certain firearms and ammunition from his home. In January of 2020, Houser was convicted of two felonies in Washington County Virginia and was eventually located in Avery County North Carolina, and was in possession of three firearms, and ammunition, after being convicted of two felonies.
