Newly Sworn-In Tennessee State Rep. Scotty Campbell To Serve On Ways And Means Committee
No stranger to the Tennessee State Legislature, newly sworn in, House District Three State Representative Scotty Campbell has been appointed to serve on the powerful Finance, Ways and Means Committee as well as the Appropriations Committee. Campbell, who served in the legislature in 2012 represents Johnson County, and part of Carter and Sullivan Counties and received the appointment during proceedings this week in Nashville from Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives, Cameron Sexton. The Ways and Means Committee is responsible for measures relating to taxes, state government spending and alterations to revenue. Campbell is also a Majority Assistant Floor Leader.
