Poll: More than 70% of Virginians likely to get a COVID-19 vaccine
A Virginia Commonwealth University poll shows more Virginians are moving in favor of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Data published by the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs said of the more than 800 residents interviewed, 51% of respondents said they were very likely to get a vaccine, which is a 13% increase from the last poll in Sept., while 20% said they would not at all likely get vaccinated. Also in favor of getting a vaccine were respondents who were college educated and had higher levels of income, at 80 and 82% in favor respectively.
Geographically, individuals polled in the Northern and South Central portions of the state were much in favor of being vaccinated, while residents polled from the Northwest and West portions generally opposed the COVID vaccine.
