Lee selected for national COVID oversight committee
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has been selected to co-chair a national task force designed to help coordinate the response of states to the COVID pandemic.
Lee was chosen along with Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont to lead the group developed by the National Governor Association that will help make decisions on such issues as the distribution of vaccines, testing supplies, and personal protective equipment.
Critics have said Lee has spent more time during the pandemic keeping businesses open instead of keeping people safe.
Tennessee is currently among the top ten states in virus cases, according to data compiled by John Hopkins University.
