No more snow days: Johnson Co. Schools to begin utilizing virtual instruction on days of inclement weather
The days of no school for snow appear to be over in Johnson County.
Johnson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mischelle Simcox shared to families on social media that in reaction to the large number of missed school days because of inclement winter weather this school year, the system will begin utilizing virtual snow days should weather conditions not allow for in-person instruction.
K-2nd grade students would receive packets of work on these days, while 3rd-12th grade students would be expected to utilize remote learning. Students that do not have reliable internet access would not be penalized if they miss the virtual snow learning days, but they will be required to make up any missed work that was assigned on those days.
