BMS sets race format for Spring weekend dirt race doubleheader

In a little over two months, NASCAR will run its first dirt race for its top series since 1970 at the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway.
Track officials announced on Monday that the format for the weekend will include the Camping World Truck Series Pinty’s Truck race run under the lights on Saturday night March 27th at 8 p.m., in a three stage 150 lap event. The following day, the NASCAR Cup Series will take to the dirt at 3:30 p.m., for the Food City Dirt Race on March 28th for a 250 lap three stage race.
This will mark the first ever NASCAR dirt race at Bristol and the first race using the temporary dirt surface since the World of Outlaws visited Bristol in 2000 and 2001.
