Trial set for Glade Spring woman accused of locking man inside burning storage unit
A woman accused of locking a man inside a Glade Spring, Va storage unit last Jan. where he later died in a fire will have her case head to trial.
Kelly Goff, 46, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and abduction in the fatal fire that killed Walter Lampkins. Goff allegedly locked the unit door from the outside while video surveillance showed Lampkins, who was staying inside the unit, trying to free himself while the fire burned inside. The Washington County, VA Sheriff’s Office reported the blaze affected around 25 units at the storage facility.
Trial is scheduled to begin March 1st in Washington County, VA Criminal Court.
