Greeneville’s Bowlin to turn over command of Tennessee’s 278th Army Cavalry Regiment Command this weekend
A Greeneville native and commander of an army cavalry regiment in TN will turn over command this weekend.
Col. John “Brad” Bowlin has served as Tennessee National Guard’s 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment leader since 2019 and has placed an emphasis on readiness and relationships with local, state, and federal officials.
Bowlin’s leadership included tornado relief efforts last March following deadly storms through the middle part of the state, and response to the state capitol and US Capitol after the deadly insurrection that left five dead in Washington D.C last month.
Bowlin will relinquish command of the regiment to Lt. Col. Steven Turner Sunday in Knoxville.
