Northam Says Now Is Not The Time To Let Up On Social Distancing Guidelines
It’s no secret, that southwest Virginia was hard hit by COVID-19 the last part of 2020. But on Friday, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam says now is not the time to let up on social distancing guidelines. Parts of Southwest Virginia, like Wise, Dickenson, Bristol, and Blande Counties are seeing more favorable trends. Northam says the Commonwealth is vaccinating as fast as possible and says its a supply and demand issue now. Virginia has dispensed 86 percent of first round doses and 67 percent of total doses.
