Speeding Stop Leads To Arrest Of Virginia Man on Felony Pot Charges
Smyth County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest a Woodbridge Virginia man on felony possession of marijuana after he was stopped for speeding. Sheriff Chip Shuler says 28 year old Adrian James Timmons of Ranger Loop Woodbridge, Virginia was monitored driving at a speed of 87 mph on interstate 81 in the Groseclose section of the county. Timmons admitted he had about a pound of pot. Following a search, Timmons was found to be in possession of approximately five pounds of the illegal weed. Each vacuum sealed. Timmons says he was to deliver the pot to a location in Bristol Virginia. Timmons was taken to the Regional Jail in Abingdon.
