TDH: Total vaccines administered in Northeast TN nearing 100,000
Northeast TN continues to pace the rest of the state in getting residents vaccinated.
Data from the Tenn. Dept of Health says all seven counties have at least eight percent of their locality populations to have received one of two vaccine doses. Unicoi County has among the highest percentage of any county in the state of first doses administered at 14.99%, while Washington County sits closely behind at 14.59%.
In total numbers, close to 96,000 vaccinations have been administered as of Wednesday morning. Below is the county-by-county breakdown of vaccines administered:
Carter- 8,322 (10.04%- at least one dose; 4.70% both doses)
Greene- 10,756 (11.18%- at least one dose; 4.38% both doses)
Hawkins- 7,748 (9.25%- at least one dose; 4.38% both doses)
Johnson- 2,126 (8.69%- at least one dose; 3.27% both doses)
Sullivan- 32,637 (12.58%- at least one dose; 8% both doses)
Unicoi- 3,891 (14.99%- at least one dose; 6.73% both doses)
Washington- 30,281 (14.59%- at least one dose; 8.78% both doses)
