United Way Of East Tennessee Highlands Surpasses Campaign Goal
Despite an organizational merger, a pandemic, and a change of leadership, the newly formed United Way of East Tennessee Highlands has surpassed its campaign goal by more than 300 thousand dollars. In 2020, the United Way of Washington County began their work on merging with the United Way of Elizabethton, Carter and Johnson Counties to form the United Way of East Tennessee Highlands. The agency raised more than one million five hundred thousand dollars to reach its campaign goal that supports over 200 thousand residents in Washington, Carter and Johnson Counties as well as Southern Sullivan County.
