Eastman Places Near Top Of Most Sustainable Companies List

Kingsport’s Eastman Chemical Company’s aggressive approach to its newly formed sustainable technology is placing the huge manufacturer near the top of a list of Most Sustainable Companies in the United States. In December, Eastman announced aggressive sustainability goals to address three critical areas, climate change, materials circularity and caring for society. And because of that Eastman has been named to the number 27 position on Barron’s 2021 list of the most sustainable companies in the United States. Eastman CEO Mark Costa says Eastman doesn’ t exist to just make materials, that Eastman exists to live out the companies purpose which is to enhance the quality of life in a material way.
