Police: Elizabethton man arrested, charged into two armed robbery incidents in Johnson City
An Elizabethton man is facing a pair of aggravated robbery charges after police say an investigation connected him to separate incidents at Johnson City businesses.
Johnson City Police allege Savyon Prather, 22, robbed a clerk at gunpoint at the Super 8 motel on Wesley St. on February 13th.
Two days later on February 15th, officers say Prather robbed employees at gunpoint at the N. Roan St. Hardee’s location. Prather was arrested after the second incident, and faces numerous charges including two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count of evading arrest.
He is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on an $81,000 bond, and is due in court on March 2nd.
