VSP: One killed, two injured following head-on crash Wednesday morning in Norton

Virginia State Police have confirmed one person has died following a wrong way crash early Wednesday morning in Norton.

State Police were called to a crash on US Route 23 just after 1 a.m, where a preliminary investigation finds a vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lanes and struck another vehicle head on.

Troopers report the passenger of one vehicle died, while drivers of the two vehicles were transported to separate hospitals.

The identities of the three have not been released and the investigation is ongoing.
