Inmate In Southwest Virginia Prison Pleads Guilty To Possession Of Shank
An inmate at the United States Penitentiary in Lee County, Virginia pleads guilty in U.S. District Court in Abingdon to possession of contraband, specifically a prison made shank. That’s according to Acting United States Attorney Daniel P. Bubar, who says 37 year old Anthony Meyers, who is an inmate at the Jonesville, Virginia prison now faces an additional 60 months in prison when he is sentenced on possession of contraband charges this coming May 18. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Special Assistant United States Attorney Debbie Stevens prosecuted the case for the United States.
