Kingsport announcing more leisure programs, activities coming back online

Kingsport’s leisure facilities are coming back online throughout the spring with limited capacity and safety guidelines still in place.

The city announced the Senior Center’s main site will open Monday while the Lynn View branch will reopen on March 15. Mondays and Wednesdays are set aside for seniors born in even number years; Tuesdays and Thursdays will have centers open their doors for citizens born in odd number years.

Bays Mountain Park plans to operate its herpetarium along with the bottom floor of the Nature Center. Plans also include resuming barge rides with limited capacity.

The Kingsport Aquatic Center remains on an appointment-only status for some programs while the downtown Carousel is available again for bookings.
