Blue Plum Festival unable to hold event in 2021, organization accepting applications for grants to hold smaller community events instead
Although there will be no traditional Blue Plum festival in Johnson City for the second straight year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, event organizers are working on a way to still bring entertainment to Johnson City in 2021.
The Blue Plum organization has announced the Blue Plum Gives Back program, a mission in assisting local businesses and organizations to bring music and arts to downtown Johnson City.
Funds have been set aside for grants to be offered to event organizers who are interested in holding small scale community events. Potential events are now eligible to apply for these grants who will need to submit a written proposal, video, and show how the event relates to Blue Plum’s Mission.
All events must be held during the month of June, and the deadline to apply is March 25.
