VDH: State to receive approximately 69,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses this week following FDA approval

The Commonwealth of Virginia has added one new COVID-19 vaccine option to its arsenal after FDA approval for the Johnson & Johnson single dose shot.

Virginia Dept. of Health officials say they will receive around 69,000 doses of the serum this week which will be distributed to mass vaccination sites.

Pharmacies participating in the Federal Retail Pharmacy program will receive a shipment of doses as well according to state health officials.
