Virginia Lottery: Nearly $59M wagered on online-sports bets in the first 11 days
Over $58 million have been wagered in the first 11 days of online sports betting in Virginia.
Virginia Lottery officials announced Monday that between Jan. 21 and 31, Virginians won around $55.3 million from wagers. Five sportsbooks have received permits to operate in the state, while the lottery anticipates additional sports betting operator permits to be granted in the coming days.
Hard Rock Bristol is one of the casinos that have applied for a sports betting permit.
