Washington County, TN Schools to enter into contract negotiations with Jerry Boyd for next Director of Schools

School leaders in Washington County, TN appear to have completed their search for a new Director of Schools.

During a called board meeting Monday, the board of education voted in favor of entering into contract talks with Jerry Boyd, who currently works for the TN Dept. of Education as Assistant Commissioner for Materials and Standards & District Operations.

Boyd was among five finalists interviewed out of a large 17 candidate pool. The search for a new director of Schools follows a retirement announcement from current director Dr. Bill Flanary back in January, who’s last day is set for June 30.
