Bristol, VA Police investigating reported attempted kidnapping of female juvenile
Detectives in Bristol, Virginia are seeking tips following an attempted kidnapping of a juvenile girl earlier this week.
Bristol, VA Police Department Detective Sgt. Steve Crawford tells us a female juvenile was walking along Euclid Avenue near the Lee Highway intersection Wednesday around 3:30 p.m, when she said a dark or charcoal colored four door vehicle similar to a Chevy Impala approached her, and she told authorities she heard a man in the vehicle say “go get her.”
She told police that a black male described to be in his 30s with an average build, got out of the car and started following her, which prompted her to run home. The male did not pursue her according to the juvenile. Crawford says his department is looking for nearby video and any witnesses that may have seen the interaction.
Anyone with information is asked call Sgt. Crawford at 276-645-7403.
