Nearly Eighteen Thousand Tennessee Residents Set To Receive Broadband Internet Service Thanks To Multi Million Dollar Grant
More than seventeen thousand unserved Tennesseans, who are currently without broadband accessibility will soon receive access to the internet. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announces Friday, nearly 15 million dollars in broadband accessibility grants will expand service to 17 thousand eight hundred residents in more than seven thousand homes and businesses in the Volunteer State. Governor Lee proposed earlier this year a record investment of 200 million dollars that will provide high speed broadband, no matter what zip code they live in. Lee says the grants will help to level the playing field for rural communities across Tennessee.
