Several prescribed burns scheduled for later this spring across Southwest Virginia
Several more prescribed burns will be conducted throughout the spring across Southwest Virginia.
The USDA Forest Service announced Thursday that these controlled burns will take place in several areas of the region including in Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, and Wythe counties such as the 1,498 acre area of Huff Hollow, the 1,098 acre area of Horse Heaven, and 140 acre area of White Top.
These prescribed burns will happen between this month and May, and could take several days to complete.
