Ratings Firm Maintains Confidence In Ballad Health’s Financial Outlook… Despite Pandemic Challenges

Despite an ongoing pandemic lasting more than a year, a financial ratings firm has given Ballad Health Care an A rating with a stable financial outlook. Fitch Ratings of New York, cited Challenges posed by the pandemic, and Ballad Health’s response to the pandemic as reasons for maintaining confidence in the health care providers financial stewardship. Fitch gave Ballad the A rating due in part to its response to challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and says Ballad’s management team has transformed clinical operations to support COVID-19 and non COVID-19 patients as well as implementing a corporate emergency operations center to successfully manage the hospital’s capacity.
