ETSU students to receive $5.5M in federal financial assistance in response to pandemic
Nearly 12,000 ETSU students are receiving federal financial assistance related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Around $5.5 million is being sent to eligible students from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, and funds students are receiving will be between $337 and $650. These funds can be used to cover things like attendance costs, tuition, food, housing, and medical and mental health care.
Disbursing of funds started this week, and marks the second wave of federal financial assistance provided to ETSU students, as over $5 million from the CARES Act was made available last May.
