TDH: COVID-19 vaccine percentages continue to rise in Northeast TN
Over 13% of Northeast TN residents in our seven county area have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Tenn. Dept of Health COVID-19 vaccine tracking dashboard shows as of Tuesday, a total of 156,513 vaccines have been reported, as Sullivan County has reported the most with a little over 51,000. Unicoi and Washington County has surpassed the partial inoculation rate of 20%, while Washington County has the highest percentage rate of its population fully vaccinated at 15.04%. Below is a county-by-county vaccination breakdown:
*Carter- 13,944 (15.26% with at least one dose, 9.40% fully vaccinated)
*Greene- 20,181 (17.92% with at least one dose, 11.25% fully vaccinated)
*Hawkins- 14,052 (15.67% with at least one dose, 9.01% fully vaccinated)
*Johnson- 3,853 (13.55% with at least one dose, 8.13% fully vaccinated)
*Sullivan- 51,021 (18.70% with at least one dose, 13.42% fully vaccinated)
*Unicoi- 6,544 (21.64% with at least one dose, 14.78% fully vaccinated)
*Washington- 46,918 (21.01% with at least one dose, 15.04% fully vaccinated)
*Total- 156,513
