U.S. Marshals Office Announces Formation Of Missing Child Unit In Southwest Virginia

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Virginia is announcing the formation of the Southwest Virginia Missing Child Unit, a combined federal, state and local entity established to address critically missing child and child abduction cases in southwest Virginia. The unit will serve as a proactive resource, in terms of education and training, as well as a responsive resource,in terms of manpower, equipment and advisory guidance, to law enforcement agencies in the area. The Missing Child Unit is made up of southwest Virginia law enforcement agencies, along with state and federal agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Homeland security and the United States Attorney’s Office
