Male Pedestrian In Abingdon Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Motorist

A male pedestrian is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle while he was crossing an Abingdon street on Thursday. Police were dispatched shortly before three pm to the 300 block of East Valley Street in reference to a pedestrian being struck while in the crosswalk. Police discovered 51 year old Deena Randolph of Abingdon had struck the male pedestrian as she was driving her black Isuzu Rodeo near Abingdon Internal Medicine. The pedestrian was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. At this time, charges are pending against Miss Randolph.
