Bristol, VA Police: Suspect dead, VSP investigating following officer-involved shooting Tuesday morning

A suspect is dead and an investigation is underway following an officer-involved shooting Tuesday morning in Bristol, VA.

Bristol, Virginia Police Department Captain Maynard Ratcliff tells Supertalk’s Trey Adams officers were called to the Rodeway Inn on Euclid Avenue near the Gate City Highway intersection just after 3:00 a.m., where a reported shooting took place.

An unidentified suspect has been pronounced dead and no officers were injured in the incident according to Ratcliff.

The investigation has been turned over to Virginia State Police and no further details have been released.
