Johnson City to plan phased reopening of community centers starting April 12

Johnson City city officials are planning a phased reopening approach for its community centers scheduled to begin April 12.

Phase one of the city’s planning in reopening Memorial Park Community Center, Carver Recreational Center, and Langston Centre will be to limit the number of individuals in each activity, requires pre-registration for all activities, and include a COVID-19 mandatory pre-screening assessment prior to entering any of the facilities.

Pre-registration opens April 5, and some amenities at the community centers may not be available.
