REPORT: Hawkins County deputy dragged while making arrest attempt in Church Hill
A Hawkins County, Tennessee deputy was dragged during an arrest attempt in Church Hill while a small child was inside the vehicle.
Brittany Blue Bailey, 28, of Kingsport, is facing six charges including driving under the influence, felony evading, and possession of narcotics, according to a report from Sheriff Ronnie Lawson’s office.
The deputy described Bailey driving her vehicle in a reckless manner on several streets to avoid capture. He also said he was able to remove the child from the back of the car after Bailey crashed into a truck stopped at an intersection. The officer did not report any injuries to himself or the occupants of the vehicle.
Also in the report, Bailey admitted to the officer that she was under the influence of Klonopin, Suboxone, and Neurontin.
