Report: Around 140 chickens killed in barn fire in Greene County
A barn fire is under investigation in Greene County after the blaze killed around 140 chickens.
A Greene County Sheriff’s Department report says authorities were called to the 2000 block of Shakerag Road Monday morning, where a woman told deputies she heard a strange noise coming from the direction of her barn and then discovered her barn to be on fire.
TVFD crews responded as the 3rd due department to assist the Camp Creek and Sunnyside VFDs on a barn fire on Shakerag Rd. today.

Deputies wrote in their report that the woman said several items were inside the barn that she intended to have in the home she planned to build. Over 100 chickens were also in the barn and were burned in the fire.
No injuries were reported but the barn is considered to be a total loss.
