Gov. Northam: All adult Virginians eligible to get COVID-19 vaccine by April 18
Ahead of the nationwide goal of May first set by President Biden, Virginia is now set to begin offering COVID19 vaccinations to all adult Virginians by April 18.
In a preview of what it may look like now that all adults can be vaccinated, Governor Northam made the announcement at a vaccination clinic where more than one thousand vaccines will be administered on Thursday alone. Northam says expanding the vaccine eligibility to all adults marks an important milestone in Virginia’s ongoing efforts to put the pandemic behind us.
Virginia will continue to work with a diverse set of providers and community partners across the Commonwealth to distribute the vaccines in a fair and equitable way and that high-risk groups will receive the vaccine first
