Moody’s Upgrades Ballad Health Credit rate
An investors services firm has upgraded Ballad Health’s credit rating to a favorable A3 status despite a negative outlook on the Hospital Industry, and the challenges of a world wide pandemic, Moody Investor Services cites Ballad’s favorable governance, tenured management team and its ability to operate effectively to demonstrate the value created by the Ballad merger as reasons for the favorable rating. Health care provider CEO Alan Levine says Ballad has remained focused on delivering high quality health care, reducing the cost of healthcare and being good stewards of its resources. Moody says it has only upgraded five health systems, while downgrading more than five times that many.
