Tennessee senator submits bill that would prohibit state, local authorities from forcing someone to take COVID vaccine
A bill has been proposed by a Tennessee senator that would prohibit any state or local authorities from forcing or requiring a person to take a COVID vaccine.
Senator Janice Bowling of Tullahoma said during a session of the Health & Wellness Committee that the 2020 pandemic induced fear and regulation that caused people to second guess the sickness and affect what the government did to restrict rights.
“So people ask, ‘Why is government trying to limit the movement and quarantine 99.6 percent of the population that is well. Quarantine is for sick people,” she said.
Committee chairman and Johnson City lawmaker Rusty Crowe voted in favor of the bill that now goes to the floor of the Tennessee Senate.
