UPDATE: Four years of prison time added to Lee County prisoner’s sentence for carrying illegal weapons

An inmate serving time at the US Penitentiary in Lee County, Virginia received an additional four years of prison time following sentencing in federal court.

Daniel Lee Wade, 26, of Greenville, North Carolina, pleaded guilty of carrying weapons inside the facility in October crafted from two pieces of gray metal.

Prison officials discovered the knives in his possession in March 2020.
